I agree that there are mixed signals being sent and that the rules are a little vague... I've never made the connection with what the rules referred to as "block lag glitch" and what it actually is. I just assumed block glitching was something to do with permanently removing blocks/being able to harvest block materials. I always thought that what I was doing was an acquired skill, since I've seen countless people talk about breaking blocks and getting chests in the split second they're not there. That's why I thought that chest was there, so that only people who'd got the hang of the trick could get it, hence the "trolololol" making it seem impossible to other people.

I'm also pretty sure the parkour inside the large tree in the lobby is impossible to complete without block glitching. It was actually doing that that I learned how to block glitch, because I watched someone else doing it to get into the tree. As people have said, something that promotes breaking the rules shouldn't really be included...

In this argument I can see why both sides think the way they do, and I can understand why. Let me elaborate a little.​

I think the idea of putting the chest outside the dome was one of the silliest ideas they could come up with and should definitely be removed by the developers if they do not want things like this to continue. It was obviously put here to troll players in game just to get a good laugh and I am sure they were not trying to get anyone in trouble. However, I can see why you were kicked from the server. If a new person was to come on to MCSG and read the rule page, they would see that there is no direct rule against block glitching to get to a chest. However, looking at your stats, I can see that you are no 'newb' and therefore know that block glitching to get to a chest is not allowed. Therefore, you should not have gone for the chest in the first place.​

I can see where you are coming from and I do believe that the chest should be removed to prevent further incidents such as this one from happening. But please, if you know about a rule, do not break it, even if it is not in the rule book.​

If you know of a way to a) actually get inside the tree in the first place and b) then get on to the next level of the parkour, all without block glitching, I'm all ears.

At the very least, clarification should be made in the rules as to what constitutes block glitching, because those who have read the rules before playing on an MCSG surver will have no idea what is being talked about and likely forget that rule thinking "well I can't do that anyway".

I personally have always loved rule breaking traps. If you break the rules under temptation wouldn't you break them elsewhere? In my opinion it's your fault if you break the rules.
