Why did u change Solar Frost ?!

Maybe it was changed for a reason. I liked it better the way it use to be too, but sometimes things need to change to suite the servers the best.

It was changed due to a massive debate on the map. A long time ago, (It is for me, being in this community so long ) The creator, Eshan_Cowee, was banned for a reason I will not provide. After his ban, he deliberately asked to have his map removed. When it's not the creators choice if the map is dead, its the communities. Solar Frost, being as epical as it is, is finally removed in this new update, and a clan of Moderators and staff worked to make Solar Frost V2, a better map in the most case, with better st00f and new features (Except for the escape hole) I know this is upsetting for the people in <3 with the map, trust me, it is for me too, but the new features makes every map more intriguing for every1, even the next steve with 0 wins. I hope this gives a reasoning for the replacement of the best map evar, but in some (Most) eyes, makes this map better than it originally was #Narwhals

Actually no, Eshan was not the map's creator, he provided the server and did minimal work. The map was actually changed by the original creators based on the feedback they had been given by the community, and based on what they wanted to do. I personally hated Solar Frost, now it's kinda bearable for me.

Orly? I asked all my friends what they knew of the revamped Solar Frost and what I posted was all the info I received, but idk where they got that idea, it just all seemed to flow together well... Sorry though of the misconception.

Whether eshan did work on Solar Frost or not is debatable (I hear both sides of the argument constantly), but the fact is that eshan holds licenses to the map, and the MCSG servers would get in some trouble if they kept the original map that he made. Since the community loved the map, Chad got a couple of Team Elite members to revamp the map so they could keep it. I know that some people may not like the new map, but the original map can't be returned. You either keep and accept the new one, or remove the map entirely.

[Yes, this is a copy + paste from a previous thread, but, they're basically the same question, therefore the same answer.]

What was done, had to be done. There were a lot of behind-the-scenes issues with the original 'creator' of the map, forcing us, more or less, to make changes.

I do realize this is a thread of your opinion on the matter, and that's perfectly fine, but I'm here to say why it had to be changed.

To be completely honest, not much was changed. Sure, color schemes, and blocks were edited, a few layers were added, tiers were changed, and chests moved, but if you really look at it, it's not much.

Just try to keep in mind that this technically speaking, had to be done, to avoid further issues and complaints which I will not go into detail on.

While the build team who edited the map cannot please everyone, and respectably so, you might not like the map, try to understand their intentions were not to 'ruin' the map, they were to enhance it, and avoid further issues with the 'creator'.

I'm not locking this, but I will ask for questions regarding the issues to be sent to me in a PM, where I will answer it discreetly, to avoid unnecessary discussions regarding it in this thread.

The new version is personally my favourite, I love the new spawn, the diamond blocks really do it for me
