I personally think Icarus would look cool but have bad playability. Too compact.

Yeah everyone likes different stuff. I like things in between being pretty and playable, like Excavation Zero.

Well, as i have said in this thread: http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/mcsg-pmc-map-contest.41050/I think that the maps that deserve to win are not the ones that will win, merely because loads of diamonds have been given to maps made by well known makers, or people using copious amounts of shaders and ludicrous tp's in screenshots and trailers. My personal favourites so far are:

Whilst the above does seem to use tp's and shaders to make it look better, i can't help but say it has a lot going on, so I think it could be good. (However, note that i thought wasteland looked insane from it's pmc page, but now that i've played it in pmc servers, i really dont like it)

Quartz is cool, but the thing I don't like about it is all the close spaces. In narrow hallways someone with nothing but a bow and 20 arrows could beat anyone with a diamond sword.

Only seen it in action as a spectator - probably my favorite out of the PMC maps on the test servers so far.

Overall I think the map is okay, I feel that the trailer over sells the map a little, but here is my biggest problem:

The map is escapable, you can enderpearl over it
