How to PVP like a pro?

Hey! I've been playing Survival Games for a while now and have accumulated around 250 wins. While my PVP is above average, I was wondering what improvements I could make to my PVP to move up from above-average to pro. I can usually do as well as 95% percent of the players but recently I played Hiqlights and he was just unreal. Suggestions would be great! Thank you! (Someone please correct me if I posted this in the wrong area )

Okay, so what you want to do is strafe around the person when you approach them. Also, you may want to consider block hitting, but when you block hit, it reduces your mobility. Also, try to come up with a plethora of ways to be one step ahead of your opponent. For instance, they are just reacting to one of your sword swings, but you are already on to the next swing. For teams, either try to separate them or use a flint and steel.

When I'm fighting someone who has better gear than me, i usually head for high ground. Then i pick s pot and if i have arrows ill shoot them then sprint forward for the kill. One time i actually had nothing but a wood axe and 4 arrows and went up against a guy with full iron stone sword. I climbed my perch shot him then sprinted forward and knocked him off the mountain and to death.
