Maps That Freeze or Lag Horribly

For Demon's Breeze, some computers require you to completely turn off the sound. That's what people have reported lag from - it makes sense if you think about it.

It's not just Demon Breeze theres 5 or 6 others without lava that freeze as well

You shouldn't be lagging on that map with your specs. You should be able to run it fine. What mods are you using (if any)?

I know i shouldnt be thats why im so confused. Not using any mods, even took my texture pack off.

So any other suggestions? I even tried reinstalling. I don't want to stop playing, I love survival games, but i can't really get any points when i die to lag or have to quit all the time.
