Maps That Freeze or Lag Horribly

So I have a pretty awesome computer and have never experienced lag problems in any other game that I have played on it, which is a pretty extensive list. After playing Survival Games for some time it has become very clear that It's only certain maps that I have issues on and are unplayable. Some off the top of my head are Demon's Breeze, Survival games 2, Survival Games 5,
Kharmunrah, and a few others. I've changed all of my video settings to the lowest possible settings, Which should not be necessary with my computer, and it doesn't help. To date I've had to quit over 200 games all due to this Freezing and extreme lag on specific maps and I just don't know what else to do. All of my posts in other forums have pretty much been ignored. Somebody please help me.

Well Demon's Breeze, is because of the lava. I'm not sure about the other maps though.

Try installing optifine, it improves your FPS.

So I tried that and yea it didn't work. First map I got was Survival Games 5, and I didn't even make it to corn before it was unplayable.

Have you turned down sound/music, it helps on lava maps, i've found.
Definetly install optifine. Even if it doesnt help, there are no down sides.

I lag a bit on SG2, it's because of the trees. Put the trees on fast, to do that you need Optifine.

Install Optifine.

yes i have turned down all settings to the lowest possible settings even with optifine, and certain maps still don't work.

For Demon's Breeze, some computers require you to completely turn off the sound. That's what people have reported lag from - it makes sense if you think about it.
