So, as the title suggests, today, we shall be discussing the topic of, "Jumping into combat.

I want to see you guys's opinions on this, since I do this and I'm not sure if I'm just making it harder on myself.

So, do you jump into combat or not? [Explain]

I did, but that may just be because I was terrible if I wasn't jumping.

I will if I have at least 4 hearts and 6 armor bars.

I don't really care. YOLO amirite? :p I run into battle even if I'm on fire. I find fire doesn't really do anything to me except slowly take away the damage of a few sword hits or a bow shot, since I'm smart enough to know that running will be futile while on fire, unless I'm in some area where I can easily lose my oppressor. I generally just jump into combat because I trust my PvP skills enough to fight anyone, and if it's someone I know I can't beat, I run at them anyways because I know I will have to face them sooner or later. Unless I'm expecting a situation where using strategy will be effective, I run at him and hit him right in the face.

? Do you mean that you're only good at jumping? Sorry, I don't understand you're wording xD
Your* :p ironic that I would be correcting you after my terrible sentence.

When I played I always jumped into combat, I think that it is harder to track your opponent when you aren't jumping (probably just personal opinion). Blamph said in one of his videos that people shouldn't jump into combat, because it is really easy to get behind them but when they jump. I don't quite buy into that philosophy though, I don't quite see how you can get behind a skilled player.

Actually, it is "You're"**

You're = You are. Do you mean that "you are" only good at jumping?

This has been today's grammar lesson with Turnip :D

I don't think the thread literally means jump when entering combat, but rather running into combat rather than staying along the side-lines. And like Mr_Turnip said, it is actually you're :p

I'm not certain but i'm fairly sure jumping into combat can cause the other opponent to get what they call "reach" on you which allows the opponent to constantly hit you as you run within range of them, this happens when they hit you whilst you are in mid-air because it knocks you back out of range. So i try to focus on hitting/clicking as fast as possible.
