A new reason why you should follow someone!

I was thinking, what is the reason to follow someone other than showing respect to them.

So why not, everytime the guy/girl you follow post a status on there profile, you will get an alert saying they have posted a status.

This could be usefull if you for example post a video to your youtube channel.
It will get more attention and attention is good

I think they have a setting on the forums, that actually lets you choose what you get alerts for.

So maybe there could be an "Enable" or "Disable" option for it.

Yeah, that may actually work, if you don't want alerts for status updates you could disable them, and vice versa!
