A loud boom
It’s not the TV
It’s from outside
Out the window
I run, excited
I stare, horrifyed
I see grey birds floating
I see smoke
And fire
My mom is shocked
Adults don’t get scared, right?
She changes the channel
I watch the scene outside on TV, narrated
But is this isn't ordinary
So many things in life are new
But I don’t think this is
This is bad
I keep looking out the window
And then another boom
But this time I see the explosion
It’s scary
It’s unreal
I see two towers
Twins no longer

It was, but still, I was almost 3 so it was probably not as scary for me. I wasn't traumatized or anything. My mom sort of was though. She told me she didn't go in tall buildings for like a year after that, and she went to therapy.
