I understand this. At least you explain. It does make sense of what you are saying, but surely, wins is representing the amount of time you play the game almost, may be if there was a win/loss ratio but you'll need over 100 games played? While it may sound like an interesting idea, there are a couple problems with it.
First, bounty doesn't define a player in anyway, as you cannot truly determine a players skill through bounty. So brings the question, why even make a whole leader-board on something that doesn't really matter? The leader-board would not say anything, except for the few who take bounty too seriously.
Second, a leader-board bounty of sorts has previously been implemented, as seen by doing /top.
Thirdly, considering sponsoring, if people were to care that much about bounty who would sponsor? There would be practically no point.
Yes, but it's the closest thing to it. I don't take my games seriously, I like to play with friends, so I suppose it wouldn't 100% represent skill, but another leaderboard to add to the fun and excitement. How hard is it to keep over 2,000 when you get there? It doesn't have to be based on skill, just a suggestionI would disagree. Points don't show who the better player is. I see many top pvp'ers have less than a thousand while I have two thousand and I'm barely half their skill.
Calling them bounty or points makes absolutely no difference .-.People need to realize that they are called 'bounty' and not 'points'. It just makes sense to have a second leaderboards so that you can view the highest bounty and be a bounty hunter. It would make me feel like a sheriff and that would be great. In game, nothing would really change because people see your points when you join anyway. It'd just be a nice idea to say the most skillful players rather than the guy who has the most wins.
Don't double post please. You can reply to multiple people in one post.Yes, but it's the closest thing to it. Well it does make a difference as it gives different meanings. However, I agree with everything else you've said, well done.Calling them bounty or points makes absolutely no difference .-.
They used to have a way to check the top bounty on the leaderboards page, and once they get the chance they will probably add it back.
