Better Sprinting mod

I was looking around the internet because ever since I started playing Minecraft every time i sprint i sometimes get a weird hiccup like animation. So I found a mod called Better Sprinting Mod which fixes that problem by changing sprint from double taping "w" to a button of your choice.
So I was wondering if I install this mod is there a chance of me getting kicked off of the server for having a modded client?

The better sprint mod is a banable mod and cannot be used on these servers. If you are caught using this you will be banned.

The Better sprint mod gives an unfair advantage to players using it. The constant sprinting increases the chances of getting a critical which obviously makes it unfair for the other player.
