Au Servers Lag

I'm usually not the one to complain about the lag, but this time, it's getting out of hand.
The lag on Australia 9 is absolutely unbearable. It's not my game (I'm getting 50 FPS), but the server itself. Players are jumping around all over the place. I played on AU 8, and there was practically no lag, but on AU 9 it's horrendous. You move a few steps and you get tp'ed back to your original place. This was just in the arena.
Could you check if there is a server problem please? Thanks.

Over the last couple of days Ive noticed so much rubber banding and lag spikes on the AU servers. It is near impossible to walk 20 blocks in front of you. This isn't an issue with my connection because I asked other players and they are getting lag too. If anyone could tell me is there any way to prevent being affected from these lag spikes I'd be content. Today I was playing on sg4 and I couldn't even run across the train line. It took me 5 minutes to get halfway because I was being randomly rubber banded.

I only got it this morning (AU Time), and it ticked me off. Is the AU node having issues?

Ok everyone on AU (australian) servers are experiencing significant lag 'spikes' or are unable to connect to the servers because of this if someone could please explain why this lag is happening. I have noticed it is happening more often in the morning (AEST). I can tell its only AU as I have not experienced any lag like this in us/ca/as etc...

Can a Senior Moderator or Dev or someone respond to this inquiry as I am quite annoyed as my play style and general fun I am having for these servers have become depleted.

*Update: Midday seems to be the ONLY time where no lag is occurring.

Thanks, we have had several reports of this over the last few days. The devs are trying to fix this.

I may have an idea what's going on but the datacenter as well has been under a heavy DDoS. Can you describe when this lag spike started? Has it always been there when we swapped to Sydney? What is MC reporting as your connection ping?

I merged the posts as it was a related issue.
