pros:

High mobility

Higher damage

People fear you more

Chops trees

cons:

Can't block(arrows, hits)/blockhit

Terrible in water fights

WOOD SWORD:

pros:

High mobility AND/OR bad mobility

Can block(arrows,hits)/blockhit

Good in water fights

cons:

Less damage

People fear you less

Can't chop trees

Depending on the map:

Other maps- iron axe

Iron Axe might do more damage but , wooden sword might have more crits (never checked, but I know wooden sword has more crits than stone) but Axe has a bigger knockback I think, so its bad in water but you can block arrows with sword but Iron Axe has more Durability but Wooden sword is a weapon base Item , I would have both wisely, don't wanna type anymore it would be too confusing.

But if you are a muffinbeaner you will prolly want to block hit

Even though Iron Axe does more damage I personally think a wooden sword is better because you have the ability to block hit.
