So my strategy for ice fighting used to be have lots of flint and steel and let the invisible fire work it's magic....
Yet just like mobs and anything that made mcsg somewhat challenging, invisible fire was reamoved and now I can NOT fight ppl on ice...
Any suggestions as to how to pvp on ice?
I can't strafe or get crits on ppl :-(

You can hit people very far on ice, you can use that to knock them away/into water. What i do at Teweran 1 corn (i think the only place where ice fighting is really relevant) is that i slide around them, hit them a few times and knock them into water and finish with the bow :D

Run away and look for land. Then die afterwards :3

Run away, 180 turn and, normally, gets 1-2 extra hits. Also, on Solar Frost, you can place fire on snow.
Another thing, invisible fire is still there on stairs, half slabs and, sometimes, in the same block as doors!

On solar frost just run in circles until eventually you turn to fight. When you fight DO NOT MOVE. If you sprint at them immediately stop after reaching within a hit radius and then jump. It will send them flying however timing is everything :) Hope this works out for you.
