Failed to verify username?

I had just played a game of SG and when I tried to join a new server it said, "Failed to verify username, session authentication server unavailable". I tried on Us, Eu, Au and Ca. Does anyone know how to fix it?

This happens to me too (about 50% of the time when i try to join) and I have a premium minecraft account.

Seems like it could be a problem with mojang's servers. I could be wrong but it seems like a connection issue to them. If this is still an issue when I return later, I'll be sure to research on it and try to give more solutions. For now, I got nothing ._.

this problem also happens if you log onto minecraft with the same account again. just close minecraft then open it again and login and everything should be fine.

if you o onto help.mojang.com it will say - Minecraft Multiplayer Sessions are down. As of now they are trying to fix it but havent had any luck yet

thanks for your help guys. I haven't had a chance to test if it has been fixed yet though.
