connection timed out: connect

I can't connect any of the servers. Other servers are working fine, but when I try to connect to these servers, they don't load passed connecting. Help?

Hmm.
You're sure the IP is in correctly?
As simple as it seems, it's often forgotten.

If the IP is correct, check your Internet connection.
If your Internet connection isn't working collectly, your MC connection won't work either.

If all that is fine, check that your Java is updated.
You can do so by visiting the Java site here and downloading the newest version.
If you already have the newest version, it won't do anything so don't worry about over-downloading.

Finally, assure the server you are trying to join is online.
You can do so by visiting the "servers" section on the forums and locating a server listed as in "lobby."

Oh, than try "add server?"
Sorry If I overloaded you on info that you didn't need, I just wasn't sure what your problem was.

It's just a minor problem. It happens to me all the time; but it gets fixed after a while. Try different servers, (try not to count on U.S. servers). It's also best to relog into Minecraft if the problem continues after 5-10 tries.
