Blocking and block hitting have always been so controversial...
Personally, if I know I'm going to be hit by an arrow and I cannot do anything about it, (for example of someone shot an arrow from a short distance and I don't have time to get out of the way.) I'll block it...Usually, I'll have blocked and unblocked by the time I'm back on the ground and it'll have hardly slowed me down... (aside from "breaking" my sprint.) but that's about the most of my blocking. Even when in confined spaces, I don't block hit. I always focus on getting away from the opponent if at all possible and coming back for a fight in a more favorable place. (I almost never get myself into a confined space anyway...Only very early in a game or on a new map do I bother, and that's because of the low number of people with weapons, and the ones that do that are near me are generally obvious/I'll know they do by watching them a bit.)
Honestly, I've yet to see anybody who was "good" at block hitting anywhere but confined spaces. I really don't see the point. :/
