Why "Cornucopia"?

In the Hunger GAMes books and Movies, Cornucopia refers to the center of action, the area of bloodbath. All goodies for the game are located from packs to water containers to spears, bows, swords, and they said occasionally a mace. COrnucopia in the hunger games series is suppossed to be a giant cornucopia of which people enter, the farther in, the better the loots. While spawn in SG needs to be circlish, a cornucopia would be impossible with one entrance. Spawn has been altered to an open air pit of fury

According to Wikipedia, "The cornucopia (from Latin cornu copiae) or horn of plenty is a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers, nuts, other edibles, or wealth in some form. Originating in classical antiquity, it has continued as a symbol in Western art, and it is particularly associated with the Thanksgiving holiday in North America." I think that's pretty much what "Corn" is in the Survival Games. It blesses you with wealth, edibles, and more (in this case, weapons as well.) And if you've seen the first Hunger Games movie, the "Cornucopia" legitimately looks like a shiny, metalic, box-y version of the picture you posted.

Also, after reading the Heroes of Olympus series (I think it was in the 2nd or 3rd book) you learn some history about the cornucopia It's obviously a legend, but it's still pretty interesting (And I recommend that series Very good )
