Are you the correct age? That may have to do with it. They may not like something you put in your application. And why are you wondering if they are really sorry? It's more of just good manners to say sorry, you have not been accepted than just you are not accepted.

You realize donating has nothing to do with getting the interview right? You can have donated 0 times and still have your application accepted.

Yes, you have to have a rather decent application to get into the interview stage. You also have to prove that you are a mature person. Posting a thread questioning the morals of the senior staff does not seem like something that would help you get the position.

They didn't decline your moderator app because they don't like you. Just make sure that your application is nice and states all of the required information. They should have also stated why you were declined as a comment so check that.

If you have to make a thread about not being accepted for an interview, you're probably not over 15, or nowhere near as mature for your age as you need to be to become moderator
