It's me, Raddish, and despite naming myself partially after a subterranean vegetable, I don't have the intelligence of one.
I'm guessing your not blind if you're here, but it's blatantly obvious MCSG is slowly crumbling after larger and larger assets have left the communities, and more and more threads reminiscing about the "Good 'Ol Days" and how they're leaving are cropping up like Japanese Knot-weed. I honestly find it a little sad to come on the forums and find they are left in such a way, and sometimes I want to laugh (or perhaps giggle) at the reasons they've come to hate these servers. To be honest I've only really been posting since the night before Christmas (isn't that a movie?) last year, but have been playing the servers since around week one of the MCSG open beta (is that the correct term), and to be honest the difference in atmosphere and player quality has changed drastically. It's obvious to me and many others that there is a lack of respect for the others and minorities on this server and forums and it saddens me to see that, but it's not everyone so it's generally okay :3
I'm not saying MCSG is going down hill, as I believe it's rolled down a large hill but the momentum is dragging it up a vast mountain to ultimate power. Eshancowee is a paragon of virtue and gives time and money to both the server and charities, the Admin quality is vastly increased. But when I came to these forums this December to stay I felt a sinking feeling to realise that familiar faces had lied and been demoted and that perhaps the people I once teamed with had left due to some reason it made me wonder what was happening behind the happy servers. I was there for Krassos first ever win, and then the next time I saw him we greeted eachother and teamed and he was a Donor, and the next thing I know he's on huge livestreams as an admin, and I thought "great job
". When I came here I found that not only had he been less active, but he'd left practically all together saddened me.
I'm going to outline a few other things that also upset me hugely, but they're touchy subjects.
The fact that Vareide left was a shocking blow to me, I honestly was horrified to learn the next SG would be Hive exclusive and that he'd now left. I was torn between loyalty to him or to MCSG, I stayed here because the Hive server joining is iffy and honestly I love the community that resides here. I understand that both parties are wrong and that both sides have made errors, but when I found out I was torn. So yuh, dat suckeeed.
BajanCanadian is also a touchy subject around these parts, but here is my honest opinion, your treating baccas like a disease. I can honestly say I've never watched any of his videos, but your treatment of them has been a little off. It is true he's brought hackers and people who openly are d*cks to this community, but your can't treat a group of people as one. Remember when a teacher used to punish the whole class for a couple of idiots retardedness, and how that felt? I'm not saying they're good people, because I don't have a high opinion of them either, but making hate threads is a bit iffy in my opinion. BajanCanadian himself is also a hacker, PERIOD, and to be honest, if he says our services our abysmal, then I have no idea why he spent so much money on keeping it alive. It baffles me how arrogant he can be, to state that he'll scrape together the meagre amount of money he makes and will sustain a community with retarded hacking fans and lower ping and better plugins than us, what a silly subterranean veggie. He doesn't have the willpower or the morality to sustain it, my suspicions his he'll end up crawling back here and being shunned and then he'll flee to the hive.
The Hive (or is that word like the name Voldemort) itself is also censored, the fact that it's competing with us doesn't fright me, but I can't see myself ending up there. But saying "I'm going to the hive" as a thread is adding more melodrama to an already melodramatic subject.

I think MCSG is amazing.
Just so totally amazing.
It's well organised, the admins are great.
The fact assets provided by others have left gives MCSG strength because of the fact they can actually stand on their own two feet.
The people here are amazing.
I just think some actions and people are bad.
Baccas are a minority, a hacking, scheming minority, but you can't just classify people as a group as they have no set ideals.
Vareide made an error and so did, we so it's no biggie.
There is so much juicy goodness, charity livestreams, and the sexy Hell games.
But I don't feel that intense sugar rush of the countdown to games anymore that I got at the start, but that's my fault.
