I would recommend taking your Mac, opening any window, and dropping it out of it. Then I'd recommend stamping on it for good measure. Then walk down to your local computer store and buy a real computer and a Roxio GameCapture HD.

Yup, in my opinion, Macs suck. So if you can EVER afford a better computer, I would go for it. My computer cost about $400 and it can record fancy graphics, smooth lighting, and normal render distance with 50 FPS (I already said this, but whatevs)

I'm a rather sad person, I've got an i7 2600k and two Radeon HD 7970s, I can record with glsl shaders at 120 fps, it's kinda pointless though, because YouTube videos play at 30 fps max.

HOLY SHAIT. That is a freaking good computer. I wish I could get a computer like that some day. I know a person who gets 10 FPS will having only Minecraft up, with optifine, fast graphics, no smooth lighting, and tiny render distance. How sad :'(

I need help, me and my friend wanna record our games and put 'em on YouTube but I can't find a good recording system on my Mac that doesn't give me (literally) 2 FPS. I don't wanna pay becaus I don't have the money. Plus my friend can't record because his parent won't let him download anything onto their shared computer.
Any solutions?
Seeing as how you have a mac, there are plenty of options on the app store. Ive downloaded several from the appstore, some of which are free and some are paid. I would do some more research and look into the ratings on some of them. Most Macs come with Quicktime Player which lets you record video as well as audio. Several things ive noticed while using it is that you get pretty low fps and the voice and video get out of sync by about 2 seconds. So its up to you, I would recommend Camtasia 2. The full version is $100 so I would just stick with the trial version :)

It really matters on your Mac if its a cheaper one you can't avoid that slow fps.
