Hello everyone! I just wanted to make this thread because I had a suggestion I just had to share with the community. I joined the server around 2014 and have been playing ever since. When I first joined the server I literally thought that there were no active staff because I would never see them ingame. It was a few months later when I actually figured out that the staff tag is just a red username and for senior mod its maroon. This really is trippy and misleading to people that don't know the server well or are just starting out. My suggestion is to give moderators prefixes such as [Mod] Danteh (Yep used Danteh as an example) or [SrMod] Pingered. I feel like this would really help new players out a lot more and in my opinion it looks a lot more professional. Also, I know that people are gonna hate on this because the whole color thing has been here since the beginning but you have to take into consideration improvement and what is best for new players and the overall MCGamer community. Anyway, I hope the dev team can take this into consideration and maybe they will implement something that is different but has my idea in it. Thanks for reading and have a nice day everyone.

Sounds good but I feel like it would just take up too much of the chat, people can always just ask if any mods are on or come onto the forums/ teamspeak ;)

It feels like a good idea but at the same time most people know and if they don't and are looking for a mod they will find out pretty quickly.

Hey! I just saw this thread and read over it. I personally like the idea, but I also don't in a few ways. I think that is used on so many servers already and I feel like the way MCGamer is, is more unique rather than just having the [<rank>] prefixes.

Plus, agreeing with a few other people on this thread, it would make chat a bit more crowded. It looks a lot more clean with just the colored names. Just my thinking. :p

Yeah, now being a mod I see a little more clearly now how it wouldn't be a good idea. At the same time though, I was thinking of just staff getting the prefixes not the server ranks. Thanks for the reply though.

I'd rather keep it the way we currently have it. Like Will said, it'd take up the chat if a staff member had a long name.

EDIT: Without the prefixes makes MCSG unique in a way. Also, nobody as ever really complained about it, so it's best to keep it the same. c:

Yeah its true people don't complain, but I've had instances when players don't believe that i'm a mod. I have also been mistaken for a YouTuber and an admin. It would just clear things up a bit more in my opinion.
