I need help, me and my friend wanna record our games and put 'em on YouTube but I can't find a good recording system on my Mac that doesn't give me (literally) 2 FPS. I don't wanna pay becaus I don't have the money. Plus my friend can't record because his parent won't let him download anything onto their shared computer.
Any solutions?

Screenflow, I've heard, is pretty decent.

Screenflow is amazing for Mac. Personally, one of my favorite recording softwares, as it is easy to edit afterwards inside the program. Plus, it is even better, because you can upload to YouTube in HD directly from the window.

For PC, Fraps is probably my favorite, and edit it with S. Vegas. (Takes a lot of patience though...Loads of load-screens.)

The demo will have a BIG, FAT watermark on the whole screen unfortunately. I suggest you wait till you get the money... Or cough, cough, download it somewhere, cough cough.

I record for free with CamStudio, I actually made a YouTube on how to record okay quality with it, but if you can't nab it for Mac, then I don't see much in the range of free...you might have to fork over $20-40 for a screen recording software...

I record with Fraps, and for me, with a 3rd gen Intel core i3 processor on my Toshiba computer, whenever I record with fancy graphics, 100% smooth lighting, and Normal render distance, it gives me about 50 FPS. But I don't know if Macs are that good. Tip for the future: get anything, but a Mac for gaming. (I'm a non-mac fan) :p

MSI afterburner is a program that includes video capture that works really good for a friend of mine. It's been a nice, free alternative to fraps for him. But, it doesn't seem to work for all computers. It focuses on using the graphics card to record, so my guess is it doesn't work for me because I use a laptop which does not have a good graphics card :p
