Hello, my name is Stefan. I have been in this community since October 2015. Today I am going to discuss what happened and how to fix these problems!
What is wrong?:
- FNS Glitch:
There has been a bug with MCSG that has been here for over a year. Many of you may know of it, and it is the fns glitch. This glitch is when you try to place fire and it disappears when you place it. It also uses up flint and steel charges.
- Eating Glitch:
On the MCSG servers, we have all experienced the eating glitch. This is when you eat food and it will not fill up your hunger bars. Sometimes, you need to change the food that you are eating after a few failed attempts.
- Armor Glitch:
This glitch is a little less common, but I tend to find it a lot. This is when you put on armor, then you later find it in your inventory, not on you.
- Bow Glitch:
Sometimes, you will experience a glitch where your bow will not shoot. This happens sometimes, but it is not reoccuring to the point where it makes the bow unusable, almost like the fns.
- The Anti-cheat:
The current anti-cheat is absolutely terrible. It allows hackers to fly around the map with their kill aura on the max setting. The old anti-cheat wasn't very good either, but it at least banned hackers at a much higher rate.
How to fix these problems?:
First, slow down a bit! You guys clearly have a ton of glitches that need to be worked on! You have to fix what you have, then you look to try and improve. Next you have to listen more to the community. I always see good suggestions for the server that are on the forums! You need to look more directly at the community to see what the players want. This was the same case with the 1.8 update last year. Everyone said no, and you guys updated anyway. I always see other servers thriving because they are giving the players what they want. Finally, you guys (devs specifically) need to sit down, and spend a lot of your time working on an anti-cheat that bans these blatant hackers automatically. Badlion's anticheat is always banning the hackers that are blatantly hacking. If you guys could make an anti-cheat that could compete with Badlion, the server would begin to grow like it used to.
