Over the last 24 hours tracked with our new games played, MCSGv2 ran over 4,587 games. We had our developer team all day work on our new system to address the bugs that happened after we did our initial release. Yes, we did have a few bumps but that was expected once we started testing in a network wide environment.
The main issues people have been experiencing were the 2 things that were just now addressed and mostly patched tonight was some server lag and NCP interference. The lag issue was actually caused by an overwhelming number of people trying to join and a bad version of bukkit having some issues with the plugin compatibility. We had located a better build and fixed the issue of logging in causing a spike in CPU as it shouldn't effect any live games as much. As you know, the servers constantly kick out players because majority if our servers are full. We are adding more lobbies within the next few days once we can confirm everything is stable again. NCP had a new developer version was causing also some PvP issues by having a rubber-band effect on any action, which we just now patched with a fix to majorly solve this issue. We will monitor the new config to see if it's solved but most of the people we tested with said it was solved.
Tomorrow will be another day of fixing other bugs and we will soon start turning on the other features to continue to release all of the features MCSGv2 was designed to have. The code is there and all we need to do is turn it on, but once thing at a time. We hope to have the game tracker up soon so you can all see individual games that you see populating on your profile (example).
