As I'm sure you're all aware, our Europe location recently has incurred several hours of downtime or packet loss, which was a direct result from an attempted maintenance at the datacenter.
Basically, the France datacenter attempted to perform some upgrades to allow more traffic to the servers, but this simply caused more trouble than good, and they had to cancel the maintenance about 6 hours in to prevent prolonged downtime.
Currently, the network is stable, and all is working well. We hope that we will receive notification prior to our datacenter trying the upgrade again, but this obviously didn't happen last time.
If you're looking for a more detailed/technical explanation, you can find my post explaining a little further in detail here: http://blog.cubedhost.org/106/france-network-instability/
