Whoops, didn't know why that sent, wasn't done writing it because I got DDosed mid-way through but let me continue and share my opinions. Obviously we won't come to an agreement because we both share different views but it's nice to see the other side time to time.
It doesn't really matter when you joined the forums, if people are planning on devoting their time to the community and server, than you should't complain on who get's the position or not. I just find it childish that people seem to care about the date someone joins in order for them to receive the position, it's not fair at all, maybe if people were more mature about it and realized that the reason they want to join the staff team is to help out and make the server a peaceful place where players enjoy playing on. Especially recently with all the resignations that happened for the month of December & January, we could really need this "new" people to apply and help us out more.
I don't really understand how you "feel" like the application process is easy now, it's been the same since you've been a staff, so I'm guessing you taught it was easy that you got mod? You went from someone along side the staff team to someone that's against it and complains whenever a new staff member joins that's been in the community for less than a month!? I don't really find the point of arguing about people who "want" to help out and "devote" their time to the server, that shouldn't be your worries because at least someone in the community "wants" to be a staff member and help out as much as they clan. You should focus more on the fact that, the player count in hacker's have increased in the past year, or people breaking the rules everyday on the server and trying to get them punished, or maybe you applying for mod & giving ideas or changes that could help out the server like I am!
I don't believe it is true that anyone can get moderator, you know everyone can apply for mod if they meet the requirements, it's just how many actually get passed the pending or the big "Interview" stage. You should realize that there has been over 1,000,000 players on this server, and maybe only 800 of them actually made it past the Interview stage, it's not that "hard" to be a mod? I think you're completely incorrect because if it was really that "easy" there would of been over 800 staff members in the past almost 4 years. Just trying to point out the fact that it isn't really that "easy" to get staff member my man.
You know man, of course the person can be active in the community but just because they joined on a certain date doesn't mean they can't apply. You know how you said we don't "care" about the server or our community, maybe that next moderator could be the person that "cares"? Have you ever thought of that? Also like I said of course we care about you guys, but sometimes we're busy and handling different matters at the same exact time, but you just gotta learn that we all are not perfect, we are humans. No one is perfect, no one will ever be perfect, no one plans on being perfect, so just you know come up with better ideas than arguing and stating facts that there is no point into fighting for, because we do truly care about the community or the server.
Oh definitely, it's been a amazing journey so far meeting all these amazing people on the staff team, of course you would of a had wonderful experience as a staff member I believe that. But from you going from a well known moderator, did his job well, but messes up and now isn't on the staff team, I thought I could see you change into someone different and responsible and caring, I'd expected better from you, Jeffrey. But don't worry I am looking forward to you trying your best to show me and everyone else on the staff team your suggestions and maybe your idea on how "easy" it is to get the staff position on MCGamer! Thank's for your time and hopefully you clearly understand how I feel towards my position and how I don't joke around on how I don't do my "job" or that we really don't "care" about the server at all, because we all truly do and you probably don't understand how much work we do for everyone in the community to make it a peaceful and better place to experience on a video game, this server has truly changed my life. Like I said I never really planned on becoming a staff member when I first joined back in 2012, but I believe it was one of the best choices of my life and one of the best experiences I will ever receive or feel in my life for my future in maybe job applications or my work preference because it has helped me a ton in succeeding in my life!

I wouldn't say I'm necessarily complaining, but more as questioning I suppose, of course I am grateful that many people would take the time and help out the server, but concerning "when you join the forums thing" it just kind of gives the impression they joined the server as well on that month, I don't know if it's just me but that's how I feel about it.
Again I'm not complaining, I'm voicing my opinion on this matter and how I feel against it, of course the applications stayed the same, what I mean is that I sometimes feel as if the Sr. Mod overlook the quality of the person they are hiring and just want quantity. Now of course, I may be totally wrong, but this is to me, what I feel as of now. I just wanted to say that I like the people joining the staff team, to me they all seem like good fellas, I just dislike it when players who joined a month-ish prior before being accepted for moderator, to me, it just feels like they did it for the rank instead of interacting the community and actually wanting to help me. Now this is my opinion, something that won't change, I'm not anti-staff (well I used to because I got demoted and was salty af) nor am I on the staff's side, currently I'm just voicing my opinion which may seem anti-staff to you, but trust me, I definitely want to see the staff team improve just like you do.
Of course it isn't true that everyone can get moderator, but I'm just trying to point out that in the community's eye, many people who possibly applied have a better chance at getting moderator prior to the past when in my opinion, was a bit tougher, and I'm not saying such as early 2015, but more to like 2013-2014. I'm also not understanding 1,000,000 players on this server thing, yes that's a lot of players but how much of those players actually play regularly, how much of them are old enough to apply, and how much of those actually do wish to apply? Not that much in my opinion which is partially why I get that feeling that Sr. Mods are overlooking the quality of an application and rather more focusing on the quantity of decent people that can get this position. Again this is my opinion and it might not be right.
Also, I just realized, that the moderator application did change from when I applied (In March) to now. The punishment guide became public. Because you're a moderator, you're not able to view the template for the application, but there are some questions you can easily just look on the punishment guide to answer, therefore making it a bit easier.
I know you guys do care about this server, otherwise why would you even apply for the rank unless... y'know... you're just doing it for the rank. Other than that, it's just discomforting to see someone you've never known to become a moderator the next day. Becoming a moderator holds lots of powers and someone you never know, someone you've never seen on the forums, well this guy suddenly has all of these powers he can do to ruin our game, of course this doesn't happen usually but it's just discomforting. Try to see it from our side a bit, we randomly see this player join the forums yesterday, writes a status message like "I got Interview!" and in your mind, you'll be questioning like "Who is he and why should he have the power to ban all these players when he just joined this community?" it's discomforting for us, definitely doesn't mean they're a bad guy though.
As a final note, I never said you guys didn't do you job correctly or you just joke around all day with that red rank of yours, I'm just saying that somethings you guys do from time to time tend to not please the community, and I'm not talking about bans/mutes, I'm just talking more about the moderator itself.
