So, after DE5T1NY -snip- me this morning because my sprint was terrible (no togglesneak) I thought I'd make this thread. The MCSG Staff team (with a some exceptions) are not really that experienced when detecting ghost clients. As said by Tenebrous12321, a lot of the top 100 have been caught cheating on Badlion, a server which, no offence, has a far better Anti-Cheat. I think MCSG really needs to step it up and listen to the people who would like a new Anti-Cheat (If the developers are coding one now, that's my mistake) instead of developing minigames. As cscoop said in one of his videos, MCSG missed that craze by a mile. So instead of focussing on their main attraction, PvP, they're trying to do something that is currently fair inferior to PvP, minigames.

As well as all this, I think togglesneak (a mod that indefinably toggles your sprint) should be allowed, as it gives as much of an advantage as OptiFine, DirectionHUD and most other Forge mods. This is why people prefer Badlion to MCSG (I'm one of those people).
1. Better Anti-Cheat
2. Togglesneak is allowed
3. The staff listen to what the people want
4. They care about who is in the position of staff member
5. It's generally a better server in my opinion.

Rant over, pce.

The developers are coding a new anti cheat. The anti cheat has been up and running for a while now. Basically its just been gathering information and they are seeing if it is accurate or not. Once they deem the "new" anti cheat to be accurate, they will activate it to catch the hackers.

"Trust me, it will be released sooner than you think" - ChadTheDJ.

The reason toggle sprint is not allowed is because it makes sure your sprint doesn't break. If you compare it to someone that doesn't has the mod enabled - if they would to change to a different slot in their hot bar they would have to release the sprint key (generally) and if they would hit a block or something else, their sprint would stop. That would not happen with someone that was using toggle sprint.

Not necessarily true, toggle sprint only "toggles" it but their sprint still breaks when they hit someone, run into a block, etc. You're thinking of another mod called Sprint Fixer, this is what you're talking about. Sprint Fixer does not break your sprint at all, you continuously run forward even if you're hitting someone. If you need a more clearer explanation, ask _Pyrrhic

In terms of ghost client detection like Yannick mentioned and improved anticheat is on the way. As for staff detecting ghost clients themselves I can say that over the last few months the staff team has made a significant improvement in detecting them when someone uploads a video of themselves using it. We have staff members who are pretty familiar with them, so they are helping making sure that those cases they are handled correctly.

Could the staff team be better trained on ghost clients? Probably yes, and I have a feeling that this will be happening very soon, if it is not already being worked on.
