I don't. I go for corn but then most of the time i targeted off spawn and i can get a sword or good enough Armour to defend my self ;-;

Just look up some chest route videos on YouTube. Skip spawn and rush the route and you should be good most of the time.

Yeah i know that but i always get targeted off spawn and i can't get items out of chests fast enough ;-;

Travel the outskirts of the map or go into tall buildings.

Go on YouTube to learn the chest routes of all different maps. I have tried this a few times and I seem to remember some overpowered routes.
