Random crashing?

Just recently, I've been crashing alot on seemingly every map but SG4...

I always know when it's going to happen, right before it happens. The fps will be running smooth and then all of a sudden will stop, then crash. It will never unfreeze from that point. This crashing is extremely annoying when I'm bearing full iron or other good gear. I play on a Snow Leapord MacBook (4GB) with barely any space used up (I clean it out often). I've tried everything from cleaning the desktop to redownloading minecraft, messing with OF settings, and still nothing. At this point, I have no idea what to do. Any ideas would be much appreciated. :p

i think it might be the servers. But sometimes, I get random crashes where only I leavethe server. I usually think its just my internet being buggy or massive frames drop for me.

I don't mean "Read timed out" server crashes. I mean when the actual Minecraft application crashes. I know it's not server related because I tested from my laptop and it didn't crash.

Try to just force update it

But for you... i dont know how to fix that :/. New computer (that wont happen i asume), start playing on different server areas (AU, US, CA, EU)

I had the exact same problem when I had Snow Leopard on my 4GB MacBook Pro. I seemed to stop crashing when I upgraded to Mountain Lion and got 8GB's of RAM. I'm not really sure if it makes sense that these could be causing it, but it worked for me. :/

I have been considering getting more RAM, due to the fact that crashes are caused by shortage of ram. But what confuses me is the fact that this didn't start immediately when I got the computer...
I'll be sure to try this out when I get home on Thursday. Thank you!
