I am 14. I've been working out / lifting for 3 months and lost about 25 pounds and I need to lose 25 more.

So far I went from curling 15 pounds - 25 pounds now and my shoulders I used to be able to only do 5-10 but I can do 20-35 now. Along with legs I used to be weak with body squats but now I can Squat 90-120 (I don't want to go to high because growth stunt and injury and also I used to only be able to LEG press 150 but now I can do 500 (not max) but I usually stay at 250-300 for better stretch and deepness. Lastly I used only be able to Dumbell press like 15 but now I can do 40. So I am asking if I have made pretty good progress with my weight and lifting weight?

Please don't comment anything about im to young to lift because I am not staying outta shape for another 4 years of my life and no I am not doing cardio only, Thanks.

You have made progress! Over the summer I lost 10 pounds by working out for baseball. I am currently 6'1, and weigh 140-150ish. Anyhow I dumbbell curl 60, and squat 140 I think. Anyhow nice work and I am 14 as well. I like staying in shape it's fun!

I don't work out. I just play crap loads of basketball and that keeps me in shape. Plus daily and nightly push-ups

I am 6'1 almost 6'2 and weigh a mere 117 pounds... I have been working on trying to put on any weight that I can but cannot seem to do it. I am trying to get as much muscle weight as I can because I need weight for rowing however I can not exceed 150 pounds. I can bench press around 80 pounds. I can do about 30-40 pull-ups and about 60-70 chin-ups without stopping. I got a flexed arm hang time of 3 minutes and 30 some seconds placing a record for my class.

So about you know. Yes that is really good progress! Remember that there is no definite line of "progress". Progress is getting better and being proud of yourself. I have struggled with strong emotions and I get very depressed and angry very easily, I have used this to workout and started doing weighted 3 mile runs with 40 extra pounds. I also do weighted sit-ups and weighted push-ups. Recently I have started to really get into erging and that has become my leading cardiovascular workout.

So again yes you are making progress. Let your emotions and feeling as well as your goals and determination drive you through everything you do, whether it being working out or life, and you will make progress and live a better life.

Have a great 23000!

holy crap a subreddit that's not completely garbage!

Anyhoo, that's great progress. And to be honest, I think the more important achievement was taking the initiative and actually starting to work out. All of the progress you've made since then is merely a byproduct of a more healthy and active lifestyle, and they come naturally as you progress.

And, in case you were curious, I really don't work out at all and I don't necessarily plan to. Sports are beneficial, but I haven't found one that pleasures me. Going to the gym is just REALLY inconvenient and out of the way.
