NOTE: This is an opinion thread. In no way am I asking for MCGamer to go through this. It's basically asking the community for their opinion on 1.6 or previous game builds.
Being a semi-nostalgic player, it's easy for me to remember how MCSG used to be. The fun vibrant server, with little to no tryhards, with a genuine loving community. As 1.7 came, the early stages were great! We got scoreboards which would tell you about the server, amount of players, and time left. This also introduced the sprint-key, which infamously changed the style of PVP. For the greater good, however?

I feel personally, around this time that PVP started to get more serious for players, having more fast-paced action. With more seriousness in people, it's easy for some to get mad, thus lead to toxicity.

So, what are your opinions? Would you imagine 1.6 on these servers again?

(even though it won't happen because it was hard enough trying to get 1.7 back)

I like the idea but leaderboards have been here since the start. They didn't start when 1.7 came. This is a good idea, but I feel it would be underplayed, and a waste of time and money. (As new players from 2014-Current wouldn't fully appreciate it and call it useless.)

Like you said, just for opinions sake, 1.6.2 was by far the best game build for PVP and always will be, to me. For many reasons, I don't intend to go in depth though since I'm on my phone.

Is this even possible in the current version of the servers?

Lets face reality, Minecraft will always continue updating. upgrading to 1.9 will be a thing. Or this server will be left behind with the newer players who want to play the latest version.

It quite easily is, yes, all you need to do is run the server JAR as a 1.6.2 JAR, and boom, it's magically a 1.6.2 server once again. :)

Sprint key, Compatibility issues.
There'd be absolutely no compatibility issues.

Also, it's a CHOICE to play 1.6, not a requirement. So I guess if you want your beloved sprint key, don't play 1.6. :)

I think he meant for this to be a seperate server, though. :p

Separate server = more money required to run.

And if you want to relieve 1.6 dayz, just disable your sprint key.
