MCSG at its prime

Lets go back, back to a time were MCSG was truly fun. Not that MCSG isn't fun now but the moments and times of the past were far better than they are now (In my opinion). I cant but change the people opinions but from my experience the best times of MCSG were December of 2013-Nov 2014 (Before the MCSG v2.5 update)

But, I'm just one guy and a single thought wont be a good enough.

December 2013- April 2014 was one of the best times in my life. My favourite part of MCGamer was playing each day to get better, preparing for the apex vs phoenix clan war. Once that was over, I found it hard to play as much as I used to.

I think MCSG's prime is whenever you had a passion that made you want to play mcsg non-stop.

Alright boys now sure, V1 was fun, but it was just so difficult to get on the server without a hub. You'd have to check the website constantly to find an open game or one that as ending soon and you'd have to wait. Let's not forget how you used to get kicked for a player having higher points then you (that might have been Hive tho) because I was like "How tf am I supposed to get points den"

The MCGamer update of June 2013 was probably the best thing that happened to MCSG. We increased so much in size by localizing all of our gamemodes and making everything easy to access. I personally dislike the name 'MCGamer' and think of it as a bit corny (if you think about it, it's just Minecraft Gamer Network) but the overall update was the best. The hub at the time was beautiful, the clan scene was booming, things were so simple yet so much fun back then

These were the days when everyone had one, two alt accounts max and there was like... a system and way of playing we had. Your main account was used most of the time, and for clan activities, then everyone tryharded for ratio on their alt account. Things were just so cool and so much fun. Not to mention, all of the legendary forumers were still around and active, like RC, Half, Arena, Mami, 4non, Shaun, Zeno, Vebbi, toby, darkrai, etc.

I miss June-December 2013 so much. And this was back in the day when Tomahawk was a big hit, and everyone used R3D Craft because he used it. I tried so hard to get my computer to run shaders at the time because Tomahawk used it and his videos looked so awesome.

Whenever I first joined MCGamer, it was my first server I ever played on (in 2012/13) on Minecraft. So of course, it was magical and fascinating

When only a small amount of people knew how to use the fishing rod, when players congratulated map makers for doing a good job on making maps, when players thanked and respected moderators for doing their job. Back in 2013 mcsg was the best, it was fun, challenging.... now it's just full of tryharders and kids ;-;

I think that the old MCGamer (2012-2013) was the funiest one in my opinion, i used to play with my classmates and we didn´t had any minecraft experience but we had a lot of fun : )
