I'm just going to make this as short as I can, so I don't end up having a humongous wall of text that no one would really want to read.
So yeah, just saw today that I got the "Seasoned - 2 years in the mcgamer forums" badge, and I thought I should make a thread about it as I haven't done a thread about any milestones I've done in 1 year now.
I started playing in early January 2013 and made a forum account in September of 2013. When I first joined the server I knew no one but my IRL friends. We were all crap at this game and we had fun and everything. We learned about this server from TheBajanCanadian (yep. We did pretty much everything he did, we were fanboys x3) and ASF Jerome.
We thought this was really hard so we searched up Tutorials and Let's plays, and we found a specific person, ThatOneTomahawk. We really liked him and we thought he was entertaining. I used to watch EVERY episode he did of MCSG every day. Right now sometimes I might remember and watch 1 or 2 of his videos in a week or so.
After a while of playing, I made some skype friends that I played with, but right now I've lost contact with them (some of them in the old leaderboards were #1000, #500 and stuff).
I don't remember this a lot, but one day as I was playing I was talking in the lobby, and I saw Eskild (ZniZ97 / Xero) in the chat. I just said hi and we started talking. After a while I started playing with the people in his clan (Team Sypher), talking to them in Teamspeak and I would watch some of their clan wars. This clan soon became merged with PhoenixAU and this became a whole network (PhoenixUS, EU, AU) of clans. One time I met a person in the TS called w0wMonkey (he is one of the creators of Zone 85) and we played some MCSG rounds together, exchanged skypes and we started playing MCSG together A LOT (5 hours per day). I met a lot of other people I will tag in the end of the story.
Soon after, he made the clan PenetrationEU (worst name I swear) and I became a "member" (was too bad to play in their clan wars, I was just a spectator/shotcaller for the team and played in some of the CW's.) Met some people there, other the worst people I've ever met and others some nice people. Had tons of fun, but again, a new clan was made called DivergentEU (and again, worst name I've ever heard), with some of the old members and some new. After a while, it disbanded (mostly cuz League is life <3) and one third of the members stopped playing MCSG like us.
Just wanted to say that I've loved this server a lot and I've seen a lot of changes here and a lot of great and awesome people have left and moved on to better things. Unlike most people, I like to look at mostly the memories this server has gave me, like the endless hours of fun while playing on Teamspeak and endless hours of rage, and less at the server's gamemodes and additions.
