1.9 Poll

Im not going to say my opinion to effect personal opinion but let me give you a run down of 1.9. Duel wielding, shields and different arrows (fire/poison). There is probably a lot more but this is what I know. If you vote yay or nay tell us why you voted it.

There's been 3 or 4 1.9 snapshots out, I think it's way too early to determine if it's worth adding or not. The planned/upcoming PvP features might change or behave differently to what we expect.

That being said, given what it's shaping up to be, I'd love to see it added just to see how the community adapts to the new features and adopts new skills to learn. Kinda like the bloody fishing rod.

Pros of 1.9: It's the newest version meaning once all the bugs are sorted out all players will have the most optimized experience. Hacked clients will take longer to update, meaning a hacker free game for a good amount of time. New PvP mechanics will come into order.

Cons of 1.9: Duel wielding is scary and strange, people generally dislike it. PvP mechanics are similar to those of 1.8, and 1.8s are a bit unfavorable.

Here's the thing. We can't stay on 1.7 forever, why not embrace the change? It'll be a bit weird, however eventually it'll become the norm and I'll bet everyone will adjust just fine and maybe even find things in the future we liked more than 1.7

Why exactly would you ask this like no matter what thier upgrading to 1.9 when they get everything configured for 1.9 it would basically be them downgrading themselves by not upgrading and no more people would play...

Well, this isn't necessarily how it has always been. Before 1.7 there were many previous versions that people considered better.

just prepare for a lot of people to move to 1.7 servers.
