Before I get into anything, I am probably posting this in the wrong place so if a mod can correct that please feel free to do so.


Lately MCSG have done a few things to improve the overall quality/enjoyment of my (and I assume many others) experience on MCSG. They get a lot of crap for what they do and a lot of it they don't deserve. Whilst a small amount of the staff on MCSG don't operate in the most legitimate of ways in every situation, this is understandable as they are only human. Being an ex-competitive player I understand the frustration caused when poor decisions are made from the staff team that have no explainable reasoning but in reality most of the things they do are for the better not the worse. I just wanted to take the time to say Thank You for everything that the staff team have done. Thank you for providing the experience that we enjoy and take for granted a lot of the time nowadays and hopefully you aren't too discouraged by the negative part of the community which abuse and frown upon the staff team.

Having a more positive/less negative community would definitely fix many of the negative things about MCSG as a lot of it is up to the players to control. Whilst they can punish rule breakers, the staff team can't stop people from targeting. They can't stop people from bypassing the filter and they can't stop people from deciding to download a hacked client and start hacking. The majority of the things that are frowned upon when it comes to MCSG can be fixed if the community wasn't so trash-filled. Hopefully as players/members of the community we can make a change and make our experience on MCSG the best it can possibly be.

Thank you very much. I noticed in this thread, you said we can't stop people from downloading a hacked client and ruining games, we can't stop peoples' actions, that's 100% true - but we can punish people for them, and lot's of people think it's our fault there are hackers cause we "don't ban them", even though we ban hundreds per day!

I don't know about ingame, but I'd like some more staff to be more active or act like people not robots on the forums. But you guys that do come on here are great! You know who you are.

Sad how my friends think I should be mod just because I "think like one." Really shows how distant the forums community has become with the in-game one; pretty much everyone on the forums thinks like a mod with those standards. I just wish more players took some time out of their day to get to know the awesome members of this community instead of arguing about clan battles or tryhards or anything else. Nevertheless, thanks for taking some time to appreciate the great staff we have; I know not every server is so lucky when it comes to good mods.
