I don't think it will. If it doesn't work well with the MCGamer style, the developers and staff team will work their way around it to make the server the best it can be.

Recently, I've been testing out the 1.9 combat update snapshot... Looks like there is duel wielding? All you haft to do is press one button to switch weapons which isn't too overpowered because its just like hot keying, but the swords are very weird looking. Like the rod from the 1.8 update... Also these new arrows are in 1.9. If MCSG change its version to 1.9, please don't add these arrows with potion effects on them. I do not want to run around at spawn and be shot by a poison arrow... Also, does anyone have any idea if MCSG is changing to 1.9?
Also hello! I am a new member to MCSG!
Just for future reference, don't double post

I dont think it will. If you look at the 3 main features; duel wielding, potion arrows and shields.

Duel wielding: This may be hard to get used to it, but once you get the hang of it, it would be pretty awesome.

Potion arrows: Potions have been part of Minecraft for a long time now, but they have never been part of SG. There is no real reason why they would add them to the gamemode all of the sudden.

Shields: Again, I said in the last in the last point. This is all up to the MCGamer devs if they want to add it to the game or not.

But if they do I think it would be nice to have it since it would change the game a little bit and make it more interseting since its kind of getting boring because of how repetative this game has gotten.

we will get used to it but it will change radically the sg that everyone used to love
it will be something different
something that will not be sg

People always do this, they say the update will ruin/change sg for the worse, cry about it, then get over it when they get used to the update.
