I was awoken by soft breeze that had lofted through my window. The October air had always felt so calm and refreshing. Still laying in my bed, I stared up at the ceiling pondering various thoughts. 2010 was a year full of uncertainty. Americans were just starting to dig there way out of an economic recession and the war in Iraq would soon be wrapping itself up. Me, along with everyone else didn't know what the next 10 years would bring. Yet I was soon to find out..
Sooner or later I managed to weasel myself out of bed and begin my regular Sunday routine:
I squeezed a solid 2 years out of the game before it went ultra ultra mainstream. But I should probably tell about my first multiplayer experience. Once again I was on YouTube searching for something that looked enjoyable to watch. I think I typed something like, 'Minecraft multiplayer servers'. The 1st result was a video called 'Minecraft Server Review 10 - Mau5ville' By Chad Dunbar. I thought that this could either be a terrible fan server, or maybe some overlooked gem. Ironically, it turned out to be a bit of both. Mau5ville was the very first server to set up plot systems. Now remember this, Bukkit wasn't even a thing yet! It was ingenious, not just in design but in creativity as well. There were so many brilliant and beautiful structures were on the server that I could of just spent hours just walking around. Mau5ville got me into pixel art, something I haven't stopped doing since. I'd never thought that a game could tell me what I may end up doing for the rest of my life.
Lets fast forward to the summer of 2012. You should probably know I was ridiculously anti-social in 8th grade. My parents just constantly re-assured me that it was just a little bit of social-anxiety which was perfectly normal around that age. I still have it, just not a much as I once did. Either way, it certainly wasn't a bad year for me. ANYWAY, I was in search of a game that could tide me over during the summer. So what do I do? 3. Hit up YouTube. Some weird skinny guy named 'Bebopvox' was ranting and raving about some new game mode for Minecraft called 'Hunger Games'. It had been about 1 year since I played MC So I gave it a shot. Little known what was to become of me at MCSG.
