Could Someone Explain this to me?

I've been hearing a lot about the bounty glitch and how people have trillions of points. But could someone explain how they got that high?

Questions:
1) How did they get that much point
2) How do you abuse it
3) What happens if you abuse it

I've been told they are resetting everyone's points, because of this glitch. Nate252 in his livestream said he doesn't know what happens if exploited / abused, and he didn't recommend exploiting. Sure, you can bounty, but only a little at a time. Huge bounties make the game unfair and people will just hog points.
But as I said, they are resetting it,
but what happened, was that when the bounty system was tinkered, and now every kill you get is multiplied by 3.

I heard that every player that seems to have 'unfair' points like the EU player with 250million+ points will be reset. Players like you and me have nothing to fear. I have 157k points because I killid people with million points. So I will probably be reset but yea.
