Apparently now helping people on a internet forums is seen as "tryharding for mod" or "mini-modding." Ever sit down and think that sometimes people just sit down and respond to threads in a helpful manner just to help someone? It's pretty sad to me.
Responding to a thread explaining contacting support or how advertising is against the rules is fine. If they're helping staff and the community, who cares why they do it? I personally try to give a good response to people so they don't have to spam the staff and they don't have to wait for another hour for a moderator to respond...
