Go away. I unlike most people here am not 100% PvP focussed and 1.8 has nice features and it should be treated the same as 1.7, People should have stopped complaining...

If you aren't focused on pvp then why are you talking about problems that would arise for a combat update?

I don't like it!
I changed my attitude to 1.8 over the six months that I playing it. I'm not need right now this downgrade.
I haven't nice ping for playing at 1.7 (And all Balkan guys haven't it). For exemple, MCSG EU at 1.8 - 50-70 ms (I'm live in Serbia).
At 1.7 I have 160 ms ping on same EU server.

I believe that he is talking from a technical standpoint. I myself know what upgrading to 1.9 from something like a 1.7 / 1.8 protocol hack would cause a lot of issues, and would be much more difficult than an upgrade from a solid 1.8 server.

Hello! How are you all? This thread is about the recent maintenance work that has been going on.

So, obviously the server is being downgraded due to the fact that majority of the M gamer population voted in favour of a downgrade, but now that it's actually happening do you wish you had voted against the downgrade? Personally, I do not feel that a downgrade was necessary. However, if it makes you all happy then i'm fine with it .

I'm really happy about them finally listening to us about it, and I'm glad they brought it back! I can finally play SG being not convinced that I'll just lose because I'm not used to the 1.8 physics, so I'm really really really way way way way too glad.
