Evading Bans

I know that in the rules it states that you aren't allowed to use alts to evade bans, but do they really expect people to abide by the rules and stop playing something that gives them joy just because they got banned for a very stupid reason? I think that if you get banned for hacking then it is fair enough for the rule to at least be there, but I simply said "I actually use Nodus" on the forums (jokingly, and everyone knew it was a joke because of the thread.) This caused me to be permanently banned from the network and supposedly forbidden to EVER play mcsg EVER again. MCSG brings me joy and I honestly spend a large portion of my free time on it. I certainly don't believe that this is fair at all. I think that ban evasion should be allowed with certain punishments, such as my punishment. Wasting $25 of my money for saying "I actually use Nodus" is a big enough punishment in my opinion...

I didnt think id get permbanned by saying it in a troll AMA where I said my name was Riperino and that I was 69 years old... People make mistakes but it shouldnt cause something like this...

I got perm-banned for saying "Let's go hack in US18" and then I talked to a Sr Mod and he/she (not saying names) un banned me.

Well you are INCREDIBLE lucky. I posted a ban dispute today after being banned for a month and it was upheld:
As it states in our rules, admitting to the use of a hacked client, even jokingly, will result in a ban from our servers. Even if you were not aware of this rule at the time that you broke it, you are still responsible for breaking the rule. As such, you will remain Banned.

Man, I thought that was only a rule on the servers, that really sucks dude. I mean you could probably dispute it. I still think this rule should be revoked though, it ends up banning more regular players then hackers. Rarely hackers admit to hacking, they usually make up excuses like I have 1ms!!1!!!!

Indeed. As you can see from the post above, I posted a dispute. It really is sad because I consider myself a good player. I had 154/472 when I got banned. I wanted to get a 1/2.5 but I guess that'll never happen. I do have hope though. Listening Mendetta 's story, and how they were unbanned, gives me faith that I too will be unbanned one day. Wish me luck!

Will I still be banned for Admitting to Hacks/Modded Clients?

Yes, because it is still treated as admitting to possession of illegal modifications, and must be punished accordingly. But we also realize that most of the instances of admitting to hacks/modded clients are jokes, so we aren’t going to punish them with first offense permanent bans. You will still be banned, but we will allow you to learn from your mistakes after a certain amount of time.
