Bullies

This thread is lovely, it goes over what to do when you are being bullied and how to come about with it. To help aid the discussion, I will just add a little story of mine:

So, as many know, I live in Saudi Arabia. Everytime I would log on the MCGamer TS, I would be constantly harassed and abused. People would insult me, call me a terrorist, etc..

Banning them did not make it any better. They kept on coming back on VPNs and evading and continuing. At that point I had enough, so I decided to use a VPN to escape from it all. I began making a new "identity" for myself. I changed my IGN and all.

That was all a few days ago. Yesterday, Vigilo told me words I will never forget. He changed my view on it all. But no, it was not just him. It was:

Here is what Vigilo said:

"You do not need to change anything about you for anyone else. If you do, that gives them the impression that they won. This is not what you want to do. You need to just be yourself, and deal with them appropriately, and ignore them."

That basically wraps it up. I was close to quitting and these guys brought me back. I could never repay them for what they did.

Moral of the story? Beat bullies by not giving them what they want. The pleasure of winning.

I have been bullied before. The reason I was so vulnerable was because I was overreacting and all the bully wanted to do was get a reaction out of me. So I kicked him in the face, gave him a blood nose and HE got suspended for all the things he did to me. Now he's back at school, he still teases me, I say nothing and block him out.

I go to a different High School then him now though, so it's all good now that we don't see each other anymore. That was a great explanation of what to do in a difficult situation. Good on you Valiour

I honestly enjoyed every part of what I just read. It was very touching, I honestly loved reading this thread. Myself, I was in a situation similar to what you wrote. I then managed to handle it. This is an amazing thread. Keep doing what's best for you

I think having a safe outlet to let out all you're emotions and take support and love in and give some out is a great way to give you strength to face yourself and say that, I am myself, and no one is me, only I know who I am, and no one can say anything about me.
