No Cheat Plus Misconception

I think NOCheat should be taken away, i can deal with hackers, atleast they are killable and i can get them banned. But no cheat is ruining the game for everyone. Yesterday i died to a guy with no armor and a stone sword and i have almost full iron and stone sword.

But there's more to noCheat then just the Combat part. If it was completely taken away there'd be people flying around and spawning in full diamond armor.

You donated so the servers can function normally, but this is just a hard thing to fix.

We operate off of a single free plugin that is not our own, as it would take too long, and take too much extensive knowledge of hacking/modding in Minecraft to be able to recreate NoCheatPlus all over again. We have to wait for their plugin to be updated for the latest version, and to be working properly. Right now, our servers are running a modified version of the previous NoCheatPlus for 1.4.5, and yes I'm aware there's a build for 1.4.6 (haven't had the time - I've been coding things into the game, and fixing up all systems so that people would not have issues). The servers will be updated soon enough, there's just changes in the latest build of the MCSG plugin that I cannot roll out to the servers, as they're updates for Jan 1st.
If you would all would like to complain that a community running on donations, with non-paid staff members that spend their time here because they want to, not because they have to, be my guest. Every community has flaws, and this one is just that we are dependent on software that isn't quite glitch-free. That's not our fault, and that's not your fault either, but you shouldn't be blaming the community, just blame the way Minecraft works. When the Minecraft inner-workings change, the NoCheatPlus plugin becomes harder to write. I'm not going to sugar coat any of that, so to speak, as it's just the cold hard truth, and I'm not going to give users anything but that.</rant>

I agree, I know nothing about ncp and nothing about running a server, when do you think the ncp will be updated?

Honestly no one ever points this out but a big factor to all the problems with the servers is the fact that minecraft updates so often and then all the plugins and everything needs too be reconfigured.
Most people find it alot easier to just blame chad and the devs for not fixing a problem that would probably be back in a week or so even if they were to fix it.

I don't see why minecraft it's self needs to be updated any more. It has been updated every few months for so long I feel like there is just too Much stuff. This being said, it is almost impossible for a program like nc+ or the devs working on it to keep up while avoiding all possible flaws. If minecraft had a "dry" period so to speak, where there weren't any updates for a long time, this situation would become easier to handle.

It's the fact that once you think your finished you have to rush to update it again that is causing these annoyances that are "ruining the game". I feel like the people who make those spam threads about how much nc+ sucks understand the situation, but they just don't have any respect for how hard the devs are working to fix it so they keep complaining about how long It is taking. So thank you devs for working so hard to make the Mcsg experience better and more enjoyable for the loving, ever growing community.
