Good on you for taking the initiative to build a map. Personally I think that you could touch it up here and there but well done anyway. I also saw corn, to be honest I think it looks too colourful for "1066 the battle of Hastings" it was a hard theme, well done but for now its a no, sorry maybe touch it up and we will see about a yes.
