First of all, please do not lock this thread, this is a legitimate petition.

I know that myself and lots of other people from the AS region were extremely upset when our region was taken down. We felt that this was unjust as it was literally snatched away from us because it was inactive and too expensive, even though nobody even plays on like half of the 200 US servers. Although this may not be the best analogy, imagine the US servers being shut down. There would be outrage, and lots of players and potential donators would leave. Now, I understand that the amount of AS players compared to US players is close to microscopic, but no matter how small amount of people there are, WE'RE STILL HERE. We're still a community that I believe deserves the right to play our favorite game mode on our favorite server in our home region. So please, don't deprive a community of something we have loved for so long and have worked so hard to get back. We don't even need more than 3 servers. Say if you agree or disagree down below if you believe bringing back our home region would make a positive difference.

To the people mentioning that AS players should should make US their main region, AS players get a minimum of 150MS to US, and that would be with the fastest internet available. I personally get 240MS to US, 330MS to EU, and 400MS to AU, and this would be similar for a large portion of Asia, with the exception of areas like Japan and Hong Kong, who may get 150-160MS with fast internet. Bringing back the AS servers would be beneficial to a fairly large portion of the world, and there are staff who have said that they would be willing to moderate it. This being said, there would also be disadvantages and risks to bringing back the AS servers, for example, if Chad were to decide to bring back AS and there weren't enough players joining, then MCGamer would lose money, and reputation considering this is the 2nd time AS was up, and it shut down again. I think a viable solution to begin with it to introduce even 1, or 2, direct IPs to Survival Games lobbies hosted in Asia. There would be no need for a hub, since this would just be to test the AS community to see if players are still interested.

I would love to see AS Servers back as well, but this petition is wrong. I'm not saying the idea itself is wrong, I'm just pointing out that to bring AS back, people need to play on it. What you're doing right now is just asking people to "support" it, not to play it. If you were able to gain 100 or more players that would play it, then they would definitely consider adding AS back.
