Asia's Network
The AS network should be hosted in India or China. the reason is that they are in the middle of Asia. They would give a lot of ping too all of the people in Asia. I don't think India's Internet could handle a server so I think China is the first preference.
U.S Servers.
What MCG could do is move the U.S network down too L.A or Texas, becuase then South Americans could have good ping as well. The top of the U.S has CA as a network too.
What do you guys think?

I am a completely in-experienced guy in server hosting. I am trying to help.
Also I think I forgot how to use grammar.
@Staff what do you guys think?

Server locations are not as simple as, "put servers in the middle of everything". It's true that geography does play a part in connection, but many other factors play a part as well. Server hosting abilities, connectivity type, service reliability, DDoS protection, and monthly pricing are all major factors that are considered perhaps moreso than simple geography does.

Put another way: if you live in California, you'll get a better connection to high quality servers in Florida than you would low quality servers in Texas, but you'll get no connection if you can't afford either service.

That's why I said, I have no experience in server hosting. Thanks for taking time out of your day. But what about servers in LA? Is it too expensive?

Either I don't understand a thing about geography, or I'm pretty sure India is southwest Asia.

As for the idea itself, there is still no definite answer we'll be getting AS back, just a glimmer of hope that has recently popped up. Going from what Colonel said, finances and general strength of the area in mind is crucial. I'm not gonna say where it should be based on those factors provided, since I know nothing about technical and financial stuff in Asia, but I think China would be better place to put it, from the two choices provided.

I'd say Dallas would be a good place to host the U.S. servers, if they were to be changed - which isn't likely to happen, in my mind. I'm not really knowledgeable in the realm of server hosting, there has to be some reason why most server hosts (TeamSpeak and Minecraft) have options in Dallas. I'm just going off of sheer location, and nothing else with that pick, though.

For AS servers, just based off of a quick Google search, it seems that Singapore is one of the most prominent hosting spots, along with New Delhi. I'm not sure if that's accurate though because I got those assumptions by looking at the top 5 server hosts in Asia and almost all of them had footing in Singapore mainly.

Again, I'm not knowledgeable about server hosts, but based off of geography and Google, I'd say those are the most likely locations, if said servers were to be moved/created.

Col_StaR I didn't make myself sound like a complete idiot, did I?

China is probably cheaper, but in a ping difference there will be minimal amount of connection difference in China and India. Also India isn't in Southeast Asia.

TBH I feel like if you hosted servers in China, you would get a lot of 中国人是最好,美国人是最不好 and then some swear words which I can't say. Also I don't know but China is very restrictive, they might not let outgoing people play on the server because of the government rules etc. They've banned Facebook, Turkey or some country (I forgot) is trying to ban Minecraft, China may do the same.

Edit: Yin Singapore was too expensive, and is quite expensive from what I USED to see a long time ago. Let's pray for Singapore servers, #ASASAS

I actually think the Chinese government is becoming a lot more lenient with their once restrictive video game laws. China's ban on gaming consoles was lifted last year (correct me if I'm wrong) and I see that as a major turning point in their policies towards video games. I don't have a source for this because I am really lazy and am about to go to bed, but I've heard that China has been more open to video games. ^_^

Yeah they have done that which is pretty good, but they like their censorship and they don't want propaganda from others coming in. But to be honest I really don't want servers in China because I want my 8 ms :c

But I guess China would be alRIGHT, it may be hard for Chad and co. to communicate with the server owners as they might not speak English, or speak it very well for that matter.
