Better sprint alternative? (No mods)

Setting sprint key to CAPS, is it allowed?
Pros:
-A way to toggle spring
-No mods
-Undetectable

Cons:
-You need to toggle again after; go into chat, craft, open chest, press esc, etc...

Which really begs the question as to why mods like BSM/Toggle Sneak aren't allowed. I mean, they're allowed on basically all other networks, even the most competitive ones.
