Proposed Eu East Region

Dear MCSG,


It is abhorrently obvious to all person who play on the European servers that there a colossal gap in cultural differenced between that of Western and Eastern Europeans. Taking an example from League of Legends (although the size may not be able to be scaled down), there are the following regions in Europe:


· Nordic and East


· West


· Russia


· Turkey


If MCSG, due to its size difference, created a Europe East server then think it would positively benefit everyone in the community. Large swathes of t he player base are from Russia and Turkey, two countries that would benefit from this region. I am confident that this region will attract more players than the CA servers or possibly that of the AU servers, thus nullifying the argument for lack of donator-ships.


Pros:


· Groups people of similar language and culture into one region, allowing for better interaction.


· Gives people from the Eastern areas of Europe a much better latency.


· Less spam in chat in a language that large amounts of the player base do not understand.


Cons:


· Segregates people according to their ethnicity leading to showing some degree of intolerance.


Proposed EU East Language Groups:


· Greek, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Bulgarian.


Proposed EU West Languages Groups:


· English, French, Spanish, Italian, German


I understand that this most likely will not happen yet it is imperative to raise awareness for these issues.

Despite the fact I thought this was going to be a racist post, I actually agree. Spreading the load, giving a far less laggy approach. Less games likely to lag and crash, so therefore should - in theory - improve the average players experience.
All of what I just said probably doesn't make sense, even tho I am English xD

It really depends on the funding and the size of the players in EU. If there are enough players in the EU East to play on that server and enough people donate, Chad might consider creating an EU East server. It's like the same cases with AS MCGamer servers and SA MCGamer servers, it really depends on the location, the amount of players, and the funds to keep the servers up. Since many players do come from those regions you specified, an EU East server might be able to be created.

I never implied they were, they are in most cases very nice people, it is just I have encountered a few Romanian hackers - hopefully it is a one-off.

There are a lot more Eu players in the Eastern Regions than AS or even SA players combined, I would assume.

Or just move the EU servers to a more centralized location. Here's why I say no:

• It would cost more money, for something that not as many people will use.
• There would be a low amount of people on each server.
• There would be more servers that need moderated.
• US has 1 server, and it's on the west coast. If EU gets multiple servers, US should too.
• Final reason: League of Legends is dramatically larger than MCGamer, so your comparison is rather flawed.
