I couldn't be any happier with my SteelSeries Sensei. Mechanical keyboards (I have one with Red Switches) really don't effect your PvP. I think that a good mouse however, definitely can improve your PvP if your comfortable using it.

Mechanical Keyboards make typing on a regular keyboard feel like my hands have parkinsons.

Sure, they're more comfortable to use and I will never go back to using a regular membrane keyboard. But honestly, it won't effect your PvP much if at all.

I suggest you to choose mouse from the SteelSeries. (Say SteelSeries RAW). Should come to the store and hold it in your hands and check how she is having a hard "click". Than the treatment the better, don't fall for high DPI which I declare mouse, some Razer mice have DPI = 7200, who will use them? To use the resolution of the mouse, you need to drive it across the table. But the mouse from the SteelSeries pretty expensive, look, feel and compare your mouse with a new - maybe all the same old friend is better than two new ones?
